FutureWork™ Summit Series

New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Learning and Development Initiative (LDI) has announced the FutureWork™ Summit Series, a six-part leadership development series designed to help leaders navigate a workplace increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and changing workforce expectations.

Participants will begin by completing the FutureWork™ Inventory and receive a personalized report providing insight into their current readiness for a changing workplace. They will then participate in focused instruction exploring FutureWork™ skills and their relevance to their sector, followed by a moderated panel discussion featuring leaders and practitioners.

The FutureWork™ Summit is designed to move participants from awareness to action. Leaders will examine their own capabilities, consider how technological and workforce changes are affecting their organizations, exchange ideas with peers, and identify practical steps they can take within their organizations. The goal is for participants to leave with greater awareness of where they are today and a clearer understanding of how they and their organizations can adapt to artificial intelligence, digital transformation, evolving workforce expectations, and the changing skills required to succeed.

“Preparing for the future of work requires more than understanding new technology,” said Dr. Michael Edmondson, Associate Provost of Continued Learning at NJIT. “Leaders need opportunities to assess their capabilities, strengthen their knowledge, learn from one another, and translate those insights into action.”

FutureWork® Summit Series Schedule

• November 12, 2026 — FutureWork™ Summit for Nonprofit Leaders
• December 3, 2026 – FutureWork™ Summit for K-12 Education Leaders
• January 21, 2027 – FutureWork™ Summit for Healthcare Leaders
• February 11, 2027 — FutureWork™ Summit for Municipal Leaders
• March 11, 2027 — FutureWork™ Summit for Business Leaders
• April 8, 2027 — FutureWork™ Summit for Higher Education Leaders

Each summit will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Registration is $189 per person and includes our proprietary FutureWork™ Inventory.

While every summit leverages the proprietary FutureWork™framework, the instruction, panel conversation, examples, and application activities will be tailored to the specific opportunities and challenges facing each sector.

Each FutureWork™ Summit will take place in person at the NJIT Administrative Center at 494 Broad Street in Newark.  Space is limited.
