Stefanie Toye, Associate Director, Workforce Development and Teresa Keeler, Ph.D., Associate Director, Learning Design hosted a panel discussion on "The Intersection of AI, Education, and Industry" Michael Edmondson, PhD, Associate Provost for Continued Learning presented on Non-Degree Credential and the Future of Higher Education.

Launching in spring 2025 through NJIT’s Learning and Development Initiative (LDI), the microcredential features ten non-credit two-hour courses and will be available free of charge to all NJIT students — regardless of level and major — and to the general public for a fee.

No matter how advanced the technology, soft skills remain vital, vibrant, and relevant.

The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has been awarded a $113,000 GAINS (Growing Apprenticeships in Nontraditional Sectors) grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL) to establish two innovative apprenticeship pathways: Hardware Hacker and Healthcare IT Specialist.
