Innovative Solutions to Advance K-12 Schools and Districts Offered
-----
New Jersey - October 1, 2024. NJIT’s Learning and Development Initiative (LDI) and Eduscape announce today a significant partnership to bring innovative solutions to the K-20 education market in the form of competency-based micro-credentials, AI and STEM learning events and programs, and insights into emerging classroom technologies. This is a first-of-its-kind partnership between an R1 university’s innovation arm and a leading, privately-held education company jointly focused on accelerating technology, fostering innovation, and workforce development to advance human potential.
“For nearly two decades, Eduscape has been at the forefront of educator professional development. As LDI continues to grow its impact in skills-based learning, we could think of no better partner to align an existing and exemplary competency-based, micro credential program for K-20 teachers and district leaders, among other exciting programs to advance best practices in AI and STEM integration.” stated Dr. Michael Edmondson, Associate Provost for Continued Learning and Vice President of the Learning and Development Initiative.
The rapid development of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence continues to add to the list of innovative tools that teachers did not have in their own learning experiences, nor through their college programs. Therefore, more than ever, educators are seeking opportunities to discover how to embrace the potential of these technologies to advance their teaching practice to better support students. The partnership will bring credentialed professional learning programs to districts and schools across the region and throughout the country.
“NJIT continues to emerge as one of the more innovative R-1 universities in the world. As a New Jersey-based company, we are incredibly proud to form this partnership with the Learning and Development Initiative. Eduscape will be able to continue enhancing our outstanding professional learning programs and learning events with credentials and support from the team at NJII, while expanding their impact in the overall corporate and education learning community.” stated Alex Urrea, Founder and CEO of Educape.
The two organizations will be announcing program and solutions offerings, including a statewide AI in Education Summit over the coming weeks.
