The state’s proximity to major tech hubs, venture capital, and top-tier research institutions helps foster collaboration and knowledge transfer, allowing the state to attract talent and partnerships for AI and machine learning ventures. Prestigious universities such as Princeton, NJIT, and Stevens Institute of Technology play a key role in driving research and development in AI technologies. These universities offer cutting-edge programs in computer science, AI, and data science, producing skilled graduates who fuel the industry. Additionally, these institutions are involved in AI research and collaborate with industry leaders to create real-world applications. NJIT, for instance, has research programs that intersect AI and robotics, particularly for healthcare applications.
