In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, AI is both a transformative technology and a fundamental competency. To meet the need organizations and individuals have regarding this fundamental competency, NJIT is launching a non-credit AI Literacy Microcredential - coming Spring 2025.
INTRODUCTION
The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is developing a non-credit Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy Microcredential to supports its AI Core Standards as well as to help people connect to the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today's evolving workplace.

The following Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) helped create the AI Microcredentials. Working alongside the Learning and Development Initiative (LDI) staff at NJIT, each SME had to go through a vetting process, complete a course proposal form, build a storyboard, and then ensure the material for each course meets the learning standards as identified by the LDI using a Quality Matters rubric.

- Marie Wang, Senior Manager, Security Frameworks Governance, Medidata Solutions - Marie Wang, an NJIT alumna (Class of 2012) with a BA in Communication and Media, is a cybersecurity leader with over a decade of experience in compliance, security controls, and program management. As Senior Global Security Frameworks Governance Manager at Medidata Solutions, she drives risk reduction and implements robust security frameworks. An advocate for cybersecurity and leadership, Marie volunteers with NJ ISC2 and ISACA Chapters and serves on the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.
